Start A Support Group
Starting a Support Group
As the person in charge of the program, you may never need to start a group, however it may be worthwhile for you to know what groups are and how they are started.
Your staff may start groups for the people they sign up. This will increase the social component of the program which will make it much more likely to achieve exceptional results.
Group members typically come from the same organization however it is possible for someone on the program from another organization to join a group from your organization.
Belonging to a group motivates group members to do their best every day. They understand that their success can inspire the other group members, and that makes each member try harder. This social component can make the difference between success and failure for some.
What Are a Member's Responsibilities?
It's entirely up to the group member to decide how big a role he or she will play in the lives of the other members. They should be interested in the success of the other members, follow their progress, leave an occasional comment, offer congratulations at milestones, and encourage those who are progressing more slowly. When someone stops logging in, they might contact them by phone or send them an email to ask how they are doing. They can give and receive as much support as they like.
People are more likely to succeed if they lose weight together
